Share folder
To share folders, follow these four steps:

Go to the Digital File Library and select the folder(s) that you want to share.
Then click «Share».

This process works similarly whether you are sharing one or multiple folders. |

The Share dialogue box opens.
Now set the required permission level and add the username for tis permission level. |

Click «OK» to set the permission. |

The folder now is annotated with the Share icon to indicate that it is shared. |

Notes
- The permissions of the files/folders in the folder will inherit all the permissions this folder has.
- The user with whom you share the folder can find the shared folder from the dropdown menu under the «Display» button on the top menu. You can see all the folders you share in the «Shared Elements» from the same dropdown menu.
- «Share folder» should be used in conjunction with «Project permissions». A user, who has permissions to the view or edit records in the project, does not necessarily have the permissions to the files these records link to. The system gives you control over record metadata and the related digital files (image/video/document/audio).
Example: You can choose to give access of record metadata to someone but not the access of the image it describes when the image might be sensitive in this case. Only the “Read” and “Read & Write” permissions will be used in this situation.
